I transferred from another top state school in New York and was blown away by the facilities, professors, and students. For the clubs and sports, there are so many ways to get involved, and it is impossible to not find a club where you feel belonging. The staff/ professors are helpful and want you to succeed! However, I believe that Cornell could work on accepting people not only from diverse backgrounds, but also from various socioeconomic statuses. I am excited for my next three years at Fordham, where I will meet many more friends like those I have at this point. My professors were well qualified, most of them studied at ivy league schools, and were providing their academic knowledge to students at Baruch for half the cost. I would recommend this school for anyone who prefers a small community with very small class sizes and personable professors.

Locally, the university’s New York campus is formed of over 20 colleges and schools placed at 5 different locations in and around New York, such as Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn.The main campus, located in the heart of Lower Manhattan in the vicinity of Sixth Avenue and Washington Square Park, covers 1 km² of land. Classes and teachers are basically the same everywhere; there is a wide variety of teaching methods so I would say that the courses mostly depend on how the teacher and student work out their syllabus. SUNY ESF shares a campus with Syracuse University, and so some of the toxic college and societal mentality can definitely leak into the community.
