The staff are very friendly and most speak English if needed.

When we arrived we were told that they could only provide us with 1 of the 3 towel sets we ordered - we got a refund but surely they had more towels (or had they been taken by the Homair guests!?) Units are close together just like any other campsite, but this had more privacy than most. The cars and scooters often cross the line so you really need to keep your eyes on the road. Camping de la Baie - copyright 2011-2014 . The caravan was the smallest I've seen in a while (oven, fridge, kettle, deck chairs, deck table,coffee filterer and barbecue) the basics. It took us about an hour and a half walking in 30+ degree heat to find it. Once you arrive as a Eurocamp customer it is clear that preference is given to Homair customers with a tiny reception caravan away from the main Homair reception next to the exit/entrance. Wouldn't be one of the best campsites we have used but it was fine as we booked for a last minute extension to our holiday so a 5th week in the sun was a bonus!

Although, the beach is very nice and crystal clear which is normally busy full of locals so if you're into sunbathing it is very good. After you get out of the train I recommend either getting a taxi (although locals warned us that they charge up prices for tourists) or a Bus right outside the camp.

We didn't like the shop across from the campsite as on our first morning we bought bread which was stale and expensive, so never went there again. We speak moderate French and still felt like outsiders.

Located in the heart of the town in a green setting, only 400 m from a vast beach and 200 m from the marina, Camping de la Baie welcomes you from the 15 of March until the 15 of November. Beach access The site features 3 pools and a slide (1 adult pool , the slide doesn't go into any pool and there's is a maximum and Minimum height requirement and 2 much smaller kid pools).

Also to note if you are easily woken up you will be by cicadas which sounds like a million maracas everywhere from dawn to dusk. We are really sorry for theses inconveniences during your holiday. The local town is La Ciotat and there is a weekly market which is pretty good and lots of restaurants (about an hours walk from the camp). but we decided not to. Barry & Shelley, the Eurocamp hosts were lovely, despite this. This was un-manned and we had to call or text someone to come (unlike the Homair reception).

Once we arrived at the camp after a unwanted detour that added 1 hour to our journey we went to the euro camp office which was empty with a sign telling us to text them if we arrived early we waited around 7 mins for the Eurocamp staff to arrive and bring us bad news that we (1 caravan out of 24 of euro camps) didn't have the desired amount of towels we ordered which was refunded but to think such a small camp could run out so easily was absurd.

The staff for Eurocamp although extremely friendly and nice don't seem to know a lot about France in terms of what places have to offer but still very keen to help .
